At home in the Jordaan - Ton Meijer en Odette van der Molen Alias Ton en Odette

The theatre  performance “ At home in the Jordaan” plays in and around the trailer of Jaap and Betty.  They are the living proof of a typical couple from that neighborhood of Amsterdam, talking their native tongue,  both sun tanned and full of jeweler,  he with mustache and breast hair and  she wearing her skirts much to short and with 'netpanty”s' . 

Jaap en Betty say whatever they want, complain continuously and they talk openly about their daily life , the camping , politics , the topicality and the weather.   

Jaap en Betty  say what you actually cannot say , which is the truth but you cannot say it , because these days you cannot say anything anymore.  

The actors Ton en Odette are a well balanced duo, They tell the same story at the same time but the audience never looses track. A hilarious performance of 30 minutes .  

Odette van der Molen and Ton Meijer finished their studies at Toneelschool Maastricht en de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht . For many years they work  together as a duo and perform for individuals and companies  Moreover they perform successfully child theatre on schools and in theatres . They performed in Berlin during the Berlin Jugend Literatur Festival 2007 and in  Surinam, during the children literature festival in Paramaribo  2009.
