A CANADIAN-DUTCH CO-PRODUCTION

This experimental piece is made through email and videoskype out of the passion of two theatermakers coming from different cultures and living oceans apart. This piece is a boundary-crossing search for what really drives them and everything is at stake: sex, love, life and even reality. Finally they bring their digital innerworlds to life in a physical meeting on stage.

The unTamed takes over two strangers -- a woman and a man -- colliding them in all their passions. From the first moment they touch, everything changes.

As if plucked out from civilization, they set foot in a new romantic odyssey that reveals the forces that really rule...Time and space seem to suddenly disappear and everything is put into contest: sex, love, power, gender, survival, and even reality. As they tear off each other’s armor, they tenderly tear away the veils of perception.

If we let it out, would we end up being more uncivilized, or simply more honest?

The actors of the unTamed are prepared to take on this journey and invite their audience to be part of this process. By incorporating skype in the performance, combined with classic theatre, song and movement, the show promises to be an experience as never has been shown before at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival. The unTamed will inspire the audience to go back to their bare essentials.
